Like the title says, this posting is 3 fold. The categories are the following... A little bugged, a little creaped out and little FYI.
A LITTLE BUGGED:
So we (Adrienne and I) went to the movies with Ben and Tasha. We went to see "9". Don't know if you know which movie I'm talking about, but its the Tim Burton animation movie that came out about 2 months ago. Anyway, I really wanted to see the movie when I saw the previews. Not so much because I thought it was going to be a good movie but because the music for the preview was Coheed and Cambria, which made me excited to see a movie with their music in it. So, the night comes to see the movie. We are sitting there, 30 minutes go by, no Coheed, 60 minutes go by and still no Coheed. The movie ends and still NO Coheed. I thought, well okay, at least they'll play Coheed during the credits. Are you kidding me? There wasn't one Coheed song during the whole movie. Talk about false advertising. So now I hate Tim Burton.
A LITTLE CREEPY:
Anyone who knows me, knows that one of my biggest pet peeves is when people don't have consideration for others. Adrienne definitely knows this about me. In the middle of the night, about a month ago, I woke up to Adrienne playing games on her cell phone because she couldn't sleep. You may think I was bugged, but I wasn't. I was however, scared to death because it wasn't just that Adrienne was playing on her cell phone, it was because she was playing on her cell phone under the white sheet trying to keep the light from her phone from waking me up. Allow me to elaborate a little. When you wake up in the middle of the night and are more or less "out of it" and you see what appears to be a ghost sitting next to you in bed, a heart attack isn't far away. So what was an extremely considerate act by Adrienne, turned out to be a fairly terrifying experience for me.
A LITTLE FYI:
So if you haven't read my previous post on naming babies, then shame on you. However, I do need to pass along some information regarding the section that refers to hospital visits when we have little Avery. Turns out there are some new hospital rules already in effect when it comes to visiting newborns and new moms in the hospital. With the H1N1 situation, nobody under the age of 14 is allowed to visit. Nobody who is sick or might be sick is allowed to visit, which makes sense. The final rule is that; only 2 people are allowed to visit in the room with mom and baby at a time and unfortunately I, Daddy, count as one of the visitors if I stay in the room. So it may be tough to visit. I don't want to discourage anyone who really wants to come visit, just consider this a heads up as to how the visitations will work.

going private for reals this time, not for fakes
i realize that my credibility when it comes to going private is zero, but this time it's gonna happen. with little avery coming in a couple months (i'm less than 2 months from my due date, woo!) i figure it's time i did this.
good news--i figured out how to delete comments. yes, this is a huge breakthrough for me and my lack of computer skills. so i can delete the new emails you leave. i even still have all the e-mail addresses from the first time i said we were going private. so if you left it last time, no need to leave it again unless you can't resist the urge. it'll probably take me a week or two to make it private so if there is anyone else out there who loves us like the rest of you, leave your e-mail.
everything with little avery is going great. i just need to get my butt in gear and finish getting her room ready. we're so excited to meet her! :)

ITS BEEN AWHILE
As a heads up, this is Derrek writing so those of you who are looking for an Adrienne post, today isn't your lucky day. Its been a long time since I've posted anything so I thought I would write something. We have come up with a name for our baby girl and it didn't come easily. Some of the preliminary names were Molly, Reagan and Anna. Although all of these names qualify under my criteria for name giving, as you will read further down in the post however, they didn't make the final cut. Adrienne and I have different tastes in names. I won't get into Adrienne's crazy criteria, that might be a seperate post by her. Here are my rules/criteria.
1. Names with more than 2 syllables are out. No offense to those who's name is longer than 2, I'm just a fan of 1 or 2 syllable names.
2. Names ending in or, er or ar are vetoed. With the last name Tyler that would be a little too many R's.
3. Last but not least, no last names for first names. Tyler is considered a first name even though its way cooler as a last name and has been a last name way longer than its been a first name.
4. The name has to be considered as an adult name. The question I ask myself, self, will this name keep my child from getting a job as an adult?
With the rules laid out, the name we came up with for our baby is.... AVERY!
So with a little less than 3 months to go, I hope you will all join us in bringing little Avery into this world. Metaphorically speaking of course. I don't want all of you showing up in the delivery room, but you are welcome to come visit post delivery.
